MRT1800
GENERAL ASPECT OF THE SUBJECT
Since the 2000s, there has been a growing interest in the exploitation of robots in industry. It was realized that the use of intelligent robots had several advantages:
- Speed of deployment
- Efficacy
- minimization of risk to the human team
In this context, there are essentially two cases:
- One or more autonomous robots working individually are deployed.
- One or more autonomous robots working individually are deployed.
In the second case, what interests us for our project, we seek to have robots that can autonomously negotiate compromises through structures presenting a difficulty of emancipation (human presence whose appearance is not predictable).. We want them to be able to work in a common environment with humans. We want them to be aware of their environments and the surrounding elements. If we want to extend this idea we are talking about the dynamic allocation of tasks within the If we want to extend this idea we are talking about the dynamic allocation of tasks within the If we want to extend this idea we are talking about the dynamic allocation of tasks within the (Jérome Lacouture, José Manuel Gascuena, Marie-Pierre Gleizes, Pierre Glize , 2012) Although it’s a lot of benefit it’s a complex system. There’s a lot of research on that.
The robot will consist of two parts
Software
- Linux platform
- ROS (Robot Operating System)
Hardware
- Embedded computer
- Modules(electronic board)
Project presenting
This project aims to design a mobile robot with expandable modules. We use for this project knowledge in computer science, electronics, electrotechnics, automation and robotics.
The targets set- Build a autonomous mobile robot with artificial intelligence
- The robot must use two parts: Soft (software) and hardware (hardware) independent
- Integrate digital control into the robot to improve its performance.
- The robot must be aware of its environment thanks to the different sensors
- The robot must be able to transport up to 40 kg of equipment
